Migration and implementation
Required data format
Migration runs in four stages: Preparation, Kickoff, Build and Launch. The standard process uses an early sample export from your current system for mapping, followed by a final CSV file that is due one week before go-live.
The final file should have one contact per row and one field per column, with clear headers, consistently formatted dates, and unique email addresses whenever possible. Your organization is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data. We assist with formatting and mapping, and your organization approves the final data before it goes in.
Validation after import covers counts by membership level and status, company, group, chapter and primary-contact relationships, board and committee lists, directory visibility, renewal dates, tags, custom fields and access rules. For the full walkthrough, see Your JourneyCARE Migration Journey, and for file preparation see Prepare Your Member Data for Import.
Scope and historical relationships
The validation checklist confirms which relationship types and data categories are checked after import: company, group, chapter and primary-contact relationships, board and committee lists, directory visibility, renewal dates, tags, custom fields and access rules, along with membership counts by level and status. See Prepare Your Member Data for Import for the data preparation behind these categories, and Migration FAQ for common migration questions.
During the migration process, we'll talk through what data is coming into JourneyCARE and the best options for structuring and storing that data.
Time commitment and implementation plan
A typical migration takes about three months and includes an eight-week website and portal build, four weekly core-process sessions, and a validation month. Standard setup is $7,500, and a custom website with done-for-you content migration adds $3,000 (scope limitations apply for the flat-rate pricing). See Migration FAQ for the overview, Your Migration Kickoff Meeting for how the project starts, and Get Your Team Ready to Launch for launch preparation.
