Your Website and Portal Build Timeline
Your website and portal are built on an eight-week schedule that starts when your design work is formally initiated, which may differ from your kickoff date. We establish the visual direction first, then apply it to the pages and portal elements included in your agreement.
Typical schedule
Each week has one focus. The eight-week clock starts at designer start, not at kickoff.
TIMING | ACTIVITY |
|---|---|
Week 1 | We create the first-pass homepage design. |
Week 2 | Your team gathers feedback from staff, board members, and other reviewers internally, then submits one coordinated set of comments through Outlign. |
Week 3 | Your designer applies the requested revisions. |
Week 4 | Your team confirms the edits. Missed items are corrected and the design direction is finalized. |
Weeks 5-6 | We build the remaining contracted pages and portal graphics using the approved direction. |
Week 7 | Your team reviews the build for missing or misplaced content. |
Week 8 | We complete the contracted final corrections. |
How to give useful website feedback
Appoint one person to consolidate comments before submitting them, and submit feedback by the agreed deadline.
Review first for structure and usability: navigation, priorities, calls to action, and content flow.
Then review visual details: imagery, color balance, spacing, and consistency.
Use specific language. Say "Move the Join button beside Member Login" instead of "This area feels off."
Reference the page name, section heading, and exact text when reporting an issue.
Separate corrections from new requests. Missing agreed-upon content is different from adding a new page or feature.
Test on both desktop and mobile.
