Create recurring tasks
Recurring tasks repeat automatically at specified intervals, so you don't have to recreate the same follow-up work each time it comes due. Set the frequency and end conditions once, and JourneyCARE generates each new occurrence on schedule.
Create a recurring task
Open the task creation modal from the Tasks, Contacts, or Companies page, fill in the task details, and turn on recurrence before saving.
Open the task creation modal from the Tasks, Contacts, or Companies page.
Enter the task details: the task name, a description, and any additional info.
Toggle on Recurring Task.
In the Repeats Every field, specify how often the task should recur — for example, every 1 day or every 2 weeks. Choose a frequency from Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly.
Choose when the series ends using the Ends On options: Never continues indefinitely, Custom Date ends on a specific date, and After a set number of occurrences ends after the number of times you specify.
Optionally enable Create a new task even if the previous one is overdue so the next instance is created on schedule even when earlier occurrences are incomplete or overdue.
Select the Assignee and the Contact if relevant.
Click Save to create the task and start the recurrence schedule.
Understand recurrence timing
The next task in a recurring series is created only at the scheduled time based on the task's created date — not immediately after the previous task is closed. Closing an occurrence early does not trigger the next one sooner.
Convert an existing task to recurring
You can update a task you've already created so it repeats at set intervals, instead of creating a new one.
Edit a recurring task
Edit a recurring task when its details change partway through the series. Apply your changes to all future occurrences when the whole series should change, or to a single instance when only one occurrence needs adjusting.
Delete a recurring task
Delete a recurring task when the series is no longer needed. You can delete all upcoming tasks in the series at once, or delete just a specific occurrence and leave the rest of the schedule in place.
Restore a deleted recurring task
Accidentally deleted recurring tasks can be restored, which brings back the instances that were previously removed. If a deleted task is restored, the recurrences during the deleted duration are not recreated.
