Edit your website safely

Use a few simple habits in the JourneyCARE website editor so you can make changes without breaking the live site or overwriting a teammate’s work.

Safe editing practices

Build and test changes carefully before they go live, and leave the editor when you are done.

• Create a practice page.

• Duplicate rows before making major edits.

• Check the mobile view.

• Republish periodically to create backup snapshots of the site.

• Exit the editor when you are finished so teammates are not blocked.

When another user is editing

If someone else has the editor open, JourneyCARE displays a warning.

To avoid overwriting each other’s work:

• Coordinate editing times with your team.

• Exit the editor when you are finished.

• Avoid simultaneous edits on the same pages.

After a mistake

If a republished change is wrong, restore the site to an earlier version from More > Settings > Site Backup. See Restore a previous version of your website for the full steps.
