Connect Google Analytics to your website
Connect your JourneyCARE website to Google Analytics through the built-in Google Tools integration. You can connect up to 10 Google tracking IDs or properties to each site, so one site can serve several analytics and marketing setups at once. Use this native integration instead of pasting tracking code into the header or body-end HTML: it is verified with Google and applies best practices on your behalf, while code embeds are harder to update and may need changes down the line.
Before you start
Create a Google Analytics account, property, and data stream, and turn on data collection in your Google Analytics account. Google's guide, [GA4] Set up Analytics for a website, walks through these steps. The Google Tools field accepts these ID types:
Google Global Measurement ID (G-*)
AdWords Conversion ID (AW-*)
Floodlight / DoubleClick Tracking ID (DC-*)
Google Analytics Property ID (UA-*)
Add your tracking ID
In the editor side panel, click More, then Settings, and open the Google Tools tab.
Paste your Google Analytics tracking ID.
Press Enter to confirm.
Republish your site so the change takes effect on your live site.
Add each additional tracking ID the same way, up to 10 per site. The integration anonymizes visitor IP addresses by default, so Google does not track or store them.
Google Tools in the Optimization Center
The same Google Tools options from the editor are also available in your site dashboard under the Optimization Center tab, so you can handle tracking and other optimizations in one place. The Google tag also passes on-page events, such as click-to-call actions and form submissions, to Google Tag Manager for use in your tracking and reporting.
Add tracking code with custom HTML instead
If you need more control over your tracking code, you can add it directly through custom HTML. In the editor side panel, click More, then Settings, and paste your code into either the Header HTML or Body-End HTML section. Only add the tracking code in one place on the site: having the same code in multiple locations can cause verification to fail. Republish your site for the change to take effect.
Tracking isn't recording visits
Your site is not published. Google Analytics only tracks live sites.
An ad blocker is preventing Google Analytics from recording your visit.
You set up the integration less than 24 hours ago. Google Analytics can take up to 24 hours to start tracking.
