Save Progress for forms, surveys, and quizzes
Turn on the Save exit confirmation toggle in the Settings tab of a multi-step form, survey, or quiz to let respondents leave partway through and resume where they left off. When the feature is enabled, progress is saved automatically if a respondent closes the browser, refreshes the page, or navigates away before submitting, and the next time they open the same form, survey, or quiz, a Resume Progress modal offers Continue (pick up where they left off) or Start Over (begin a new submission).
Turn on Save Progress
Open the form, survey, or quiz in its builder, enable the toggle in the Settings tab, and save the asset.
Open the form, survey, or quiz in its builder.
Open the Settings tab.
Turn on the Save exit confirmation toggle.
Save the form, survey, or quiz.
Existing forms, surveys, and quizzes stay exactly as they are until you turn this on — progress is saved only when the feature is enabled.
What respondents experience
A respondent who leaves a multi-step form, survey, or quiz before submitting can resume it later without losing their work.
If a respondent closes the browser, refreshes the page, or navigates away before submitting, their progress is saved automatically. When they return to the same form, survey, or quiz, a Resume Progress modal appears with two choices: Continue resumes where they left off, and Start Over begins a new submission.
The modal automatically matches the branding of the form, survey, or quiz. The CTA button color inherits the configured footer color, and the text font matches the configured label font. Save Progress works on desktop and mobile.
