Use address auto-complete in forms and surveys
Address Auto-Complete turns the standard Address field in forms and surveys into a smart, predictive search bar, and it is free and unlimited in all accounts. As a visitor types, live address suggestions appear, and selecting one automatically fills the Street, City, State, Country, and Postal Code fields. The feature uses an integrated global database and supports most countries and postal formats worldwide.
Enable Auto-Complete Address
Turn on the Auto-Complete Address toggle in the form or survey builder to change the standard address input into a smart search bar.
From the left-hand menu, go to Sites, open the Forms or Surveys tab, and open the form or survey in the builder.
In the Form Elements panel, drag the Address field into the form layout. The Address element is marked Updated, indicating it supports Auto-Complete.
Click the Address field. The settings panel opens on the right side of the screen.
Locate the Auto-Complete Address toggle and switch it ON.
Require a verified address
Require visitors to choose one of the suggested addresses before submitting by switching Mandatory to Select Address in Search Bar ON in the Address field's settings.
When the setting is ON, users must select one of the suggested addresses before submitting. When it is OFF, users can type an address manually.
Preview and test
Preview the form to confirm the Address field works as a search bar before you save and publish.
Click Preview in the top-right corner of the builder to see the Address field as a search bar.
Type a few characters, such as part of a street name. Predictive suggestions appear below the search bar, and selecting one populates Street, City, State, Country, and Postal Code.
Click Save. Once published, visitors filling out the form experience the built-in Auto-Complete behavior.
Notes
Auto-Complete must be enabled per form, and it does not overwrite existing contact data.
Existing forms do not automatically receive the feature. Each form or survey must be opened and the toggle enabled manually.
Auto-Complete does not overwrite existing contact data. Submissions continue to follow the usual contact update rules and mapping preferences.
Review recorded addresses the same way you review any form response.
