Create emails with Content AI

Content AI is a writing assistant in the Email Builder that generates outlines, introductions, specific email sections, and variations for your emails, plus subject lines and subject-line variations. It works in Text Blocks, Button Elements, and subject lines, in both Email Campaigns and Email Templates. Content AI is one of the AI tools in JourneyCARE.

Before you start

Content AI is enabled in account settings before it is available in the Email Builder.

Content AI is available in Email Campaigns and Email Templates. If you are not sure which one to open, see Email templates vs. email campaigns.

Generate a text block

Use Content AI in a Text Block to generate the body copy of your email from a context, title, description, and tone.

1. For a campaign, go to Marketing > Emails > Email Campaigns and create a campaign, or edit an existing one. For a template, go to Marketing > Emails > Templates and create a new template, or edit an existing one. For help navigating the editor, see How to use the Email Builder.

2. Drag and drop a new Text Block into the email body, or edit an existing Text Block.

3. Click the Content AI button above the text editor block.

4. Select a context from the Select Context dropdown: Promotional email, Introduction email, Coupon/discount, Recurring newsletter, Testimonial, Cold outreach, Content/giveaway, or Other.

5. Add a Content Title.

6. Add a Content Description of up to 3 lines.

7. Select the Writing tone.

8. Choose the Number of Variations.

9. Click Generate.

10. Select the variation you want to use and click Copy next to it, then click Continue.

Generating variations can take five to ten seconds, depending on the Number of Variations you chose.

Generate a button

Use Content AI in a Button Element to generate the call-to-action text on your button.

1. Open or create an email campaign or template, using the same paths as for a text block.

2. Drag and drop a Button Element into the email body.

3. Click Content AI.

4. Enter a Content Description describing the text to generate.

5. Choose the Number of Variations.

6. Click Generate.

7. Click Copy next to the selected variation, then click Continue.

Generate a subject line

Use Content AI to generate the subject line after you finish building your email campaign.

1. After creating the email campaign content, go to the send and schedule screen.

2. Open Content AI for the subject line.

3. Provide a Content Description.

4. Choose the Writing tone.

5. Choose the Number of Variations.

6. Click Generate.

7. Click Copy next to the selected variation, then click Continue.
