Create a custom product details page

Create a custom Product Details Page (PDP) from Sites > Stores by turning on Custom Product Details Page, mapping the products that should use it, and building the layout. Products mapped to a custom PDP show your layout instead of the default PDP, and each product uses only one custom PDP at a time.

Create a custom product details page

Build a custom PDP when specific products should use a layout you design instead of your default Product Details Page.

Before you start, create at least one product in Payments > Products and include it in your online store. You also need access to the Site/Store Builder and to know which store or site you are editing. See Create and sell products for the full product setup.

1. Go to Sites > Stores, select the store, and click Add New Page.

2. Turn on Custom Product Details Page. In the modal, search and select the product or products to map.

3. Build the layout using the PDP elements: images, details, CTAs, and Related Products. Text Customization works for labels and messaging.

4. Click Save and Publish.

Assign products to a custom PDP

Each product maps to one custom PDP at a time, and assigning a product to a new custom PDP automatically removes it from the previous one.

To reassign a product, open the custom PDP in the builder, select the relevant product element or page settings, open the Settings panel, update the product assignment, then click Save and Publish.

Clicks from the Product List Page, featured sections, and product links route to the mapped custom PDP. Without a custom PDP configured, navigation goes to the default PDP.

In the Product Details element, you can also configure the desktop Media width, desktop Media position, and product media layout options.

Deleting a custom PDP makes its associated products automatically revert to the default Product Details Page.

How custom PDPs inherit from the default PDP

A new custom PDP starts as a one-time copy of your Default Product Details Page, so it inherits the current design without live sync.

The copy includes the section structure and layout, the store elements (media, title, price, variants, CTA, and more), the styling (fonts, colors, spacing, borders, shadows), and the visibility rules for desktop and mobile.

Because inheritance happens once at creation, later changes to the Default PDP do not update existing custom PDPs. Creating a custom PDP does not modify the Default PDP, and existing custom PDPs keep their current design when a new one is created.
