Create a vCard QR code

Create a vCard QR code in the QR Code Builder to share your contact details with a single scan — ideal for networking, events, and lead generation.

What a vCard QR code does

A vCard QR code is a dynamic QR code that opens a digital contact card when scanned. The card shows the contact details you entered, and scanning saves them to the device.

Because the code uses a dynamic URL, you can update the contact information and reuse the same QR code for multiple contact-sharing events without generating a new one.

Create the vCard QR code

Open the QR Code Builder from the Sites menu and choose vCard as the code type.

  1. Select Standard Site Options from the left-hand menu.

  2. Select QR Codes.

  3. Select Create QR Code.

  4. Enter a descriptive value in QR Code Name.

  5. In Select QR Code Type, choose vCard.

  6. Select Next.

Enter contact information

Fill in the contact fields that will appear on the digital card. Phone Number is marked Required.

  1. First Name

  2. Last Name

  3. Phone Number

  4. Mobile Number

  5. Email

  6. Website

  7. Upload a profile image or company logo.

  8. Street Address, City, State, Country, and Postal Code

  9. Company Name and Job Title

When the fields are complete, select Next.

Choose colors

Set the color of each part of the QR code with the color picker or a hexadecimal color code.

  • Background Color

  • Dots Color

  • Marker Border Color

  • Marker Center Color

Choose shape styles

Choose from different styles for each part of the QR code: Dots, Marker borders, and Marker centers.

Upload your own logo or choose a built-in option, then decide how it sits over the QR code.

  1. Upload a logo or choose one of the built-in options.

  2. Toggle Remove background behind logo ON or OFF:

    • ON makes the area behind the logo clear.

    • OFF places the logo as-is over the QR code.

Add a background image

Upload an image to sit behind the QR code and set how transparent it is.

  1. Upload a Background Image.

  2. Adjust the transparency level as needed.

Download or save

Choose a file format, then download the file or save the QR code in the platform.

  1. Select the current file type (PNG is the default) and choose PNG, SVG, or PDF from the dropdown.

  2. Select Download to save the file to your device.

  3. Select Save to store the QR code in the platform.

FAQ

Do vCard QR codes work offline?

Yes. Once the QR code is scanned, the contact details are saved directly to the device and remain available offline.

What devices can scan vCard QR codes?

All standard smartphones with a QR code scanner app can scan and view the vCard.

Can I update the contact information after generating the code?

Yes. The dynamic URL lets you update the contact information without creating a new QR code.
