Create and download a QR code

Create a QR code in JourneyCARE from Standard Site Options > QR Codes, customize its shape, colors, logo, and style, then download it as a PNG, SVG, or PDF or save it to your QR Codes list.

Open Sites in the left-hand menu, then select QR Codes in the upper navigation ribbon.

  1. In the left-hand menu, open Standard Site Options.

  2. In the upper navigation ribbon, select QR Codes.

  3. Select Create QR Code in the top-right corner, or select + Create New in the center of the screen.

Create the QR code

Name the QR code, choose its type, and enter the destination it should open when scanned.

  1. Enter a name for the QR code.

  2. Select the QR-code type — Website, Review Link, Funnel, Form, Quiz, Call, SMS, or another type.

  3. Enter the destination URL or the relevant value, such as a phone number or review link.

  4. Select Next to begin customizing the design.

As soon as you enter the destination details, JourneyCARE stores the data automatically, so you can scan and test the QR code inside the builder before saving. QR codes can link to forms, surveys, funnels, review links, payment pages, emails, calls, and more.

Customize the QR code

Tailor the QR code's appearance to match your brand with the builder's design controls.

  • QR Shape — Square, Rounded Square, or Circle.

  • Background Color — the background behind the QR elements.

  • Dot Color — the color of the QR data dots.

  • Dot Style — Classic, Square, or Rounded.

  • Marker Border & Center — the corner markers' shape and color.

  • Border and Frame — adds a border or frame to the QR code, with customizable color.

  • Rim content — adds CTA text to the top and bottom of the QR code.

  • Logo or Background Image — a logo in the center of the QR code or a background image overlay.

For the logo, choose no logo, a predefined logo such as Google or YouTube, or upload your own. You can also remove the background behind the logo.

Download, save, or share

Once your QR code is fully customized, choose how to use it.

  • PNG — suitable for websites, email, and digital assets.

  • SVG — suitable for responsive or scalable designs.

  • PDF — suitable for print.

  • Copyable Link — shares a direct link to the QR code without downloading the image.

  • Save — stores the QR code in the QR Codes list if you're not ready to download.

  • Apple Wallet / Google Wallet — adds the QR code to a digital wallet pass you can present for scanning on your phone.

To save a QR code to a digital wallet, continue to the final step of the QR Code Builder and select the option to add the QR code to a digital wallet. A new QR code appears for scanning; scan it with your phone and the pass is added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet depending on your device. Open the wallet, select the pass, and present the QR code for scanning. This works with both existing and newly created QR codes, so you don't need to recreate a code to add it to a wallet.

Wallet passes include contextual details such as the QR type, associated location, and destination, so you can identify the right pass. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes have different designs because the platforms support different configurations; a profile image can appear in an Apple Wallet pass, while Google Wallet does not currently support that. Wallet passes currently display agency branding in the header.

Manage saved QR codes

Open the QR Code dashboard and hover over a saved code to reveal its actions.

  1. Click the blue Edit button to edit the details.

  2. Click the 3-dot icon to delete, move, or download the code.

  3. To move it, select Move to Folder, then select the destination folder.

Saved QR codes are listed with unique identifiers, making them easy to retrieve and download later.

Transparent PNGs

Move the background-color alpha slider fully to the left (0% opacity) to export a transparent PNG that you can overlay on another design or background.

If no background, header, or footer is added, the QR code is automatically trimmed (cropped) for a cleaner, more compact appearance.

If an uploaded background image doesn't appear clearly, adjust the transparency slider and make sure the image dimensions fit the QR canvas.
