Add an image to an email campaign
Add an image to an email campaign by dragging the Image element onto the canvas in the Email Builder, choosing where the image comes from, and setting its display options before previewing the result.
Add an image to a campaign
Open the campaign in the Email Builder, then add the Image element from the left panel.
Go to Marketing → Emails → Email Campaigns.
Create a campaign, or open the one you are editing.
Click + (Add Elements) in the top toolbar.
Drag the Image element onto the email.
Select the image to open its options in the right panel.
For the rest of the workspace controls, see How to use the Email Builder.
Choose an image source
The image editor accepts an upload from your computer or an image URL from an external source or the Media Library. Google Drive, Canva, and stock images are connected sources you reach through the Media Library.
Your computer — use Upload Image. Supported formats are JPG, PNG, and GIF.
External image URL — use Image URL and enter the web address of the image.
Media Library — use Image URL and pick a file from the Media Library. The Media Library includes Upload, Connect Drive, and a search box with source filters for All, My Media, Backgrounds, Unsplash, and Pixabay.
Stock images — search from the Media Library and filter by Unsplash or Pixabay.
Google Drive — connect Google Drive from the Media Library, then log in and grant access. Images in your Drive become available from the Media Library.
Canva — connect Canva from the Canva tab in the Media Library and authorize the connection. Import a Canva design into My Media before you can use it in an email.
Set image options
Select the image on the canvas and use the right panel to control how it displays and where it links.
Link to — the destination when a recipient clicks the image.
Alt text — descriptive text for the image.
Width and Height — the image dimensions. Set either value to auto.
Alignment — Left, Center, or Right.
Padding — the space around the image.
Image uploads are limited to 10 MB. For the best results, use compressed images under 1 MB.
Preview the image in your email
Review how the image renders before sending. Click Preview, next to Save, and switch between the Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile modes. To see the email in an actual inbox, send a test email to an address you choose.
When the image looks right, send or schedule the campaign.
