Use Community Chat
Join a community group before starting a one-to-one private conversation with one of its members.
Start a private chat
Use the group member list to choose the person you want to message after you have joined their group.
Open Groups and search for the group you want to join.
Join the group. You must be a group member before you can initiate a chat.
Open the Community Chat tab in the app.
Select a user from the group's member list, then select that user's name to start a private conversation.
Community Chat supports one-to-one private messaging. In a conversation, you can share photos, videos, documents, and other media or files, and you can add emojis and GIFs.
Receive chat notifications
Enable push notifications in your mobile app settings when you want notifications for new chat messages.
Control chat privacy
Use your Community Chat settings to disable chat for one group or block a specific message sender.
Disable chat for a group
Turn off chat for a specific group from Profile > Account Settings > Community Chat.
Open Profile, then select Account Settings.
Open Community Chat.
Find the group where you want to stop chat.
Turn off Enable Chat.
Turn chat on again from the same path by finding the group and turning on Enable Chat.
Block a message sender
Block a sender from the conversation when you do not want that user to send you further messages.
Open the chat with the user.
Open Options.
Select Block User.
After you block the user, they cannot send further messages.
