Tag channels and events in Community posts and comments
Use # in a Community post or comment to choose an accessible channel or event and insert it as a clickable tag. Use @ when you want to tag a member instead.
Before you start
You can tag a channel or event if you can create the post or comment where you are adding the tag.
Sign in to JourneyCARE.
Open Portal and Groups → Communities → Groups.
Open the group, then open the post editor or a comment editor.
The picker shows only the channels and events you can access. A channel tag and an event tag use different icons so you can tell them apart while selecting.
Tag a channel or event in a post
Add a channel or event tag to a post when you want the post to link readers to that Community destination.
In the post editor, place the cursor where you want the tag and type #.
Choose a channel or event from the picker. Search for it, scroll through the available options, press Enter after selecting it, or click the item.
Continue writing the post. The selected channel or event is inserted as a tag in the editor.
To add another destination, type # again and select another channel or event.
Select Publish Post.
Tag a channel or event in a comment
Add a channel or event tag to a comment when the comment needs to point readers to a Community destination.
In the comment editor, place the cursor where you want the tag and type #.
Choose a channel or event from the picker. Search for it, scroll through the available options, press Enter after selecting it, or click the item.
Continue writing the comment. The selected channel or event is inserted as a tag in the editor.
To add another destination, type # again and select another channel or event.
Select Publish Comment.
What readers can open
After publishing, each channel or event tag is a clickable link to its destination, subject to the reader’s access.
Channel and event icons identify the type of destination in the picker. You can add multiple channel and event tags to one post or comment.
An ended event can open a read-only view or an ended view, depending on the event’s settings.
Use @ for member mentions
Use @ to tag a member in a post, comment, or reply; use # to tag a channel or event. These are separate tagging actions.
