Use Community editor and moderation tools

Use JourneyCARE’s Community editor to format selected text, publish comments with keyboard shortcuts, ban a user from a post, and download recordings from posts.

Format text with the floating toolbar

Select text in the Community post or comment editor to open the floating formatting toolbar and apply formatting without leaving your content.

• Bold emphasizes words or phrases.

• Italic adds emphasis or indicates titles.

• Underline highlights information.

• Strikethrough shows deletions or changes.

• Insert Links embeds a hyperlink in the selected text.

You can also use traditional keyboard shortcuts when you prefer them, including Ctrl+B for bold and Ctrl+I for italic.

The floating toolbar is optimized for desktop browsers. On mobile devices, formatting options may be accessed through a different interface depending on the device and browser.

Ban a user directly from a post

Community moderators can ban a user from the discussion feed without opening the Members tab. Use this workflow when a post contains spam or other inappropriate content.

1. Open the post from the user you want to ban.

2. In the top-right corner of the post, open the three-dot menu (⋮).

3. Select Ban User.

4. To remove the user’s posts, comments, and recordings as part of the ban, select Delete all content created by this user.

5. Select Yes, Ban to complete the action.

A banned user cannot access the Community until they are unbanned. Selecting the delete option permanently removes all content created by that user; leaving it unselected keeps their content visible in the Community.

To unban a user, open the Members tab, locate the banned user, and select Unban User from the user’s profile menu. Content deleted during the ban cannot be restored.

Download a recording from a post

Download a video or audio recording from its Community post when you need a copy for offline viewing, archiving, or repurposing.

1. Open the post that contains the recording.

2. In the top-right corner of the post, open the three-dot menu (⋮).

3. Select Download Recording.

The recording downloads immediately to your device. Recording downloads are available for both video and audio posts, and the file format depends on the original recording type.

Any Community member who can see the post can download its recording; downloading is not limited to the post author.

Use comment editor keyboard shortcuts

Use the updated shortcuts in the comment editor to control paragraphs, line breaks, and publishing from the keyboard.

• Press Enter to start a new paragraph with vertical spacing.

• Press Shift+Enter to insert a line break within the same paragraph.

• Press Ctrl+Enter, or Cmd+Enter on Mac, to publish the comment without selecting the Post button.

These shortcuts also apply to the post editor, so Enter creates a new paragraph, Shift+Enter inserts a line break, and Ctrl+Enter or Cmd+Enter publishes the post.
