Meeting Room provides an interactive session with host controls, participant audio and video, chat, reactions, hand raising, and screen sharing. Streaming software receives a broadcast from an RTMP-capable encoder while members watch and interact in the Community.
Use Go Live to host Community meetings and broadcasts
Start a Community Go Live session from Portal and Groups → Communities → Groups using either Meeting Room for an interactive session or Streaming software for an RTMP broadcast.

Under the post details, enter a Title and Description.

Under Choose where to post, select the channel for the live session.
Leave the start time as Now, which is the default.
Choose one video source after completing the post details: Meeting Room or Streaming software.

Host with Streaming software
Choose Streaming software when you want to send a broadcast from an encoder that supports RTMP settings while members watch and interact in the selected Community channel.
In Select video source, choose Streaming software.
Copy the provided Server URL and Stream Key.
Open your streaming application and paste the Server URL and Stream Key into its RTMP, custom streaming, or equivalent settings.
Start the broadcast in your streaming application.
Return to JourneyCARE and select Go live. The broadcast appears live in the selected channel.
Reuse or reset the Stream Key
Your Stream Key persists for future Streaming software sessions, so you can reuse it instead of configuring a new key each time. Reset the key when you need a fresh key, such as after sharing the existing key accidentally.
End the session and manage the recording
End a Meeting Room session for everyone from End session → End session for everyone.
When Keep livestream as post is enabled, the selected channel receives a post showing that the stream ended while the recording processes. After processing finishes, the recording is available on that post.
Post authors and group admins can download the recording.
Use Go Live from mobile
You can host or join Go Live sessions from the JourneyCARE mobile app, including live meetings and broadcasts.
Signed-in members can join from supported desktop browsers or the JourneyCARE mobile app without installing additional software.
Go Live access and limits
Host a session in a private channel or paid group when access should be limited to the members who can access that space. Members still need to be signed in through a supported desktop browser or the mobile app.
Go Live does not cap the number of participants or the length of a stream.
Go Live FAQs and troubleshooting
What is the difference between Meeting Room and Streaming software?
My encoder will not connect. What should I check?
Confirm that the encoder has the correct Server URL and Stream Key, that Streaming software is selected in Select video source, and that the broadcast has started in the encoder.
Why is there no recording?
A session that ends because of inactivity is not recorded. Keep Keep livestream as post enabled when you need the ended session and its recording on the selected channel post.
Who can download a Go Live recording?
The post author and group admins can download the recording after it has finished processing.
Do members need to install anything to join?
No additional installation is required for signed-in members using supported desktop browsers or the JourneyCARE mobile app.
Can I restrict who joins?
Use a private channel or paid group so access is limited to members who can access that space.
Do I need a new Stream Key for every broadcast?
No. The Stream Key persists for future Streaming software sessions. You can reset it when you need a fresh key.
Is there a participant or stream-length limit?
Go Live does not cap the number of participants or the length of a stream.
