Understand contact deletion and Community group ownership
Deleting a contact from Communities permanently removes a regular group member and their access, while a contact who owns a group or location cannot be deleted.
What happens to a regular group member
A deleted contact is permanently removed from the Community and loses access to its content and features.
They can no longer view posts, updates, or discussions.
They can no longer post or interact in the Community.
The deletion is irreversible.
Deleting a contact who is a regular Community group member permanently removes their Community access. This cannot be undone.
What happens to a group or location owner
A contact who owns any group or location within a Community cannot be deleted. JourneyCARE blocks the attempted deletion to preserve that ownership and its responsibilities.
