Connect Google Drive to Media Storage

Connect your Google Drive account to Media Storage so you can access, organize, and preview your Google Drive files from inside JourneyCARE. You connect it from Media Storage and manage the connection under Settings > Integrations.

What the Google Drive integration does

The integration connects your Google Drive account with Media Storage and syncs your files so you can work with them from JourneyCARE. It supports file organization, previewing, and folder management.

Connect Google Drive

Connect your Google Drive account from Media Storage when you want Google Drive files available alongside your other media.

1. Navigate to Media Storage.

2. Click Connect Google Drive in the top-right corner of the Media Library.

3. Follow the on-screen prompts to log in to your Google Drive account.

4. Grant JourneyCARE access when prompted.

After a successful connection, a number appears where the integration button used to be, showing how much space you are currently occupying in your Google Drive account.

Access Google Drive files

Open Google Drive files from Media Storage once the connection is set up.

1. Click the Google Drive icon, or select Google Drive from the dropdown menu in Media Storage.

2. Your Google Drive files and folders appear alongside JourneyCARE's native media files.

You can drag and drop files, create folders, and organize your Google Drive files inside Media Storage. Files remain stored in Google Drive; JourneyCARE provides the interface to access and manage them.

Sync, management, and limitations

The integration is a two-way sync: uploads and deletions made in Google Drive reflect in JourneyCARE. Sync happens in real time, so changes made in Google Drive are instantly reflected in Media Storage.

Renaming or deleting Google Drive files from JourneyCARE is disabled to protect the integrity of your files. Folders and files can be created or uploaded in both the root directory and subfolders.

Switch the connected Google Drive

Disconnect the current Google account from Settings > Integrations, then connect a different Drive.

1. Go to Settings > Integrations.

2. Under Google, select Manage.

3. Select Disconnect Account.

4. Connect a different Drive to Media Storage.
