Share a note attachment with a private link
When you upload a document as an attachment through Notes (see Using Notes and Tasks), the file is stored in the Notes attachments folder under Documents and is private by default.
Where note attachments are stored
New documents uploaded as attachments through Notes are saved to the Notes attachments folder under Documents.
Default privacy for new attachments
New note attachments are private by default, so they are not publicly accessible. This gives you control over how sensitive information is accessed and shared.
Sharing options
When sharing a document, choose the access level that fits the situation: a Public link, Private link, OTP-protected link, or Password-protected link.
Existing attachments stay public
This change applies only to documents uploaded through Notes after the release. Existing documents uploaded through Notes before the update stay public and are unchanged.
When you need additional access control for an existing document, you can still generate and share a Private link with recipients.
