Google Analytics widgets in dashboards and custom reports
Add Google Analytics 4 (GA4) widgets to your dashboards and custom reports to bring website analytics alongside your other dashboard data. These widgets require a connected GA4 property and data stream; only Google Analytics 4 is supported, not Universal Analytics.
Before you start
Connect a GA4 property and data stream through Settings > Integrations > Google Analytics. You also need the ability to Edit dashboards to add widgets, or access to Create/Schedule reports where applicable; View access is enough to consume a dashboard. On the Google side, view access to the GA4 property and data stream is recommended.
Available Google Analytics widgets
Each widget reports one GA4 metric or breakdown.

|---|---|
Total Users | Unique users who visited during the selected period. |
Active Users | Users with an engaged session or activity on the site. |
New Users | First-time visitors in the selected period. |
Sessions Over Time | Time series of sessions across the selected date range. |
Engagement Rate | Percentage of engaged sessions. |
Bounce Rate | Percentage of sessions with no further engagement after one page view. |
Average Engagement Time | Average time users actively spend engaging with content. |
Sessions by Channel | Sessions grouped by default acquisition channels. |
Sessions by Source/Medium | Sessions grouped by source and medium pairs. |
Top Pages by Views | Pages ranked by total views. |

Add Google Analytics widgets to a dashboard
Add a GA widget from the dashboard's edit mode, then configure and save it.
Open the Dashboard and use the blue button in the top-left to open the desired dashboard.
Select Edit Dashboard > Add Widget.
Choose a chart type.
Find the Google Analytics category and select a metric or Top widget.
Apply filters, date ranges, theme, or colors.
Select Save. The widget begins pulling GA4 data.
Add Google Analytics widgets to a custom report
Add a GA widget to a custom report when you want the same data alongside other report elements, then send or schedule it.
Go to Reporting > Custom Reports.
Open an existing report or select New Report.
Start with a blank canvas, a template, or an imported dashboard layout.
Select Add Widget/Element.
Locate Google Analytics and drag widgets into the report layout.
Configure chart type, filters, and theme.
Select Save, then select Send or Schedule for email delivery.
Customize the widgets
Both surfaces use the same GA widget library and connected GA4 property. You can set a page-wide date range, choose chart types where available (Numeric, Donut, Line, Bar, Table), add filters and conditions such as Source/Medium, Channels, Pages, and Events, reposition or resize widgets, duplicate or remove them, and apply a predefined or custom theme. Widgets can be duplicated and changed for side-by-side comparisons, and GA widgets can be combined with Meta Ads, Google Ads, and CRM widgets.
Why a widget shows No Data
A Google Analytics widget showing No Data can mean the GA4 property is not connected, the date range is too narrow, the filters are too restrictive, or the page path has no traffic. Check each of these before assuming the widget is broken.
Dashboards are always-on visual snapshots for daily checks and quick comparisons; Custom Reports are intended for scheduled email delivery and polished hand-offs. View-only users can see shared dashboards and received reports.
