Analytics overview
JourneyCARE lets you collect and review analytics across your website, marketing, and member engagement — from the attribution stored on every contact to Google Analytics 4 events, pageviews, external page tracking, social performance, and custom reports. This collection walks through each analytics surface and how to use it.
What analytics you can collect
Analytics in JourneyCARE fall into a few areas, each with its own article:
Contact attribution — every contact stores a First Attribution and a Latest Attribution, so you can see where your members and prospects came from.
Google Analytics 4 — send events to a GA4 property from a workflow, record pageviews on funnels and websites, and add GA4 widgets to dashboards and custom reports.
External tracking — a script installed on external pages reports page views, form views, responses, completion rate, average time on page, and bounce rate.
Social performance — Social Planner advanced analytics show how your scheduled posts perform.
Custom reports — build, schedule, and export reports as PDF, and use custom metrics with metric-level filters and Meta Ads or Google Analytics as data sources.
Contact attribution
Every contact record stores a First Attribution and a Latest Attribution. Source categories include Paid Search, Paid Social, Direct Traffic, Organic Search, Social Media, Referrals, Others, CRM UI, and Third-Party. See Understanding Attribution Source for how these are assigned and read.
Google Analytics 4
Send engagement data to a GA4 property from inside JourneyCARE, or record it directly on your pages.
Send events from a workflow. The Add to Google Analytics workflow action sends an event to a GA4 property using a Measurement ID, event name, optional Event Value, and API Secret. Data can take 24 to 48 hours to appear. See Google Analytics 4 Tracking and How to send data to Google Analytics within a workflow.
Record pageviews. Create a GA4 web data stream and install the gtag.js tag in a funnel or website head to record pageviews. See How to record pageviews into Google Analytics for funnels and websites (GA4).
Add widgets. Once a GA4 property is connected under Settings > Integrations, you can add Google Analytics widgets to dashboards and custom reports. See Google Analytics widgets in dashboard and custom reports.
External tracking
Install a script on external pages so the platform shows page views, form views, responses, completion rate, average time on page, and exit-before-30s bounce rate under Sites > External Tracking and Sites > Analytics. See Analytics for external tracking.
Social performance
Open Marketing > Social Planner > Statistics to review advanced analytics for your scheduled social posts. See Social Planner: track social performance using advanced analytics.
Custom metrics and reports
Build custom reports with metric-level filters and choose Meta Ads or Google Analytics as data sources, then schedule and export the report as a PDF. See Custom metrics: metric-level filters, Meta Ads, Google Analytics support and How to create a custom report, schedule and export report as PDF.
