Import transactions and orders using CSV
Import transactions and orders in bulk from CSV files to bring historical payment data into JourneyCARE. Start from Payments > Transactions or Payments > Orders, upload a CSV that matches the sample file, review the validation preview, and confirm. Imported transactions and orders appear in dashboards and reporting and affect revenue metrics immediately.
CSV requirements
Prepare your CSV before importing: field names must be exactly as defined, customer details must be included so the system can match or create contacts, and execution dates and ingestion dates must be properly set.
Field names must be exactly as defined in the sample CSV.
Customer details must be included so the system can match existing contacts by email or phone, or create new contacts.
Execution dates and the date added to the platform must be properly set; transactions can be backdated by specifying the transaction execution date separately from the date added to the platform.
Only successful, completed transactions and orders are supported. Refunds and voided transactions are not supported.
Import transactions
Transactions impact revenue metrics immediately once added, so use the Transactions page when you need payment events recorded.
Go to Payments > Transactions.
Click Import.
Download the sample CSV and make sure your data matches the required format.
Upload your file and review the preview modal for validation.
Confirm the import.
Import orders
Each order record auto-creates a transaction and impacts revenue, so use the Orders page when you need both order and payment records.
Go to Payments > Orders.
Click Import and upload a properly formatted CSV.
Validate the data in the preview.
Confirm the import.
Both order and transaction entries appear in dashboards and reporting.
Validation and data behavior
The preview highlights validation issues before the import proceeds, so fix flagged rows before confirming.
Existing contacts are matched by email or phone before new records are created.
Transactions can be backdated by specifying the transaction execution date separately from the date added to the platform.
Imported transactions and orders affect revenue dashboards and metrics.
