Email widgets for dashboards
Email widgets are pre-built reporting blocks that track your organization's email delivery and engagement — accepted, delivered, opened, clicked, replied, bounced, failed, and unsubscribed emails, plus daily unsubscribe trends and domain-level breakdowns. They update automatically, so no separate integration or connection is required.
The email widgets
JourneyCARE dashboards offer 11 email widgets, each measuring one aspect of email delivery or recipient engagement.
Widget | What it measures |
|---|---|
Accepted Emails | Emails accepted by the sending system |
Delivered Emails | Emails delivered to recipients |
Opened Emails | Emails opened by recipients |
Clicked Emails | Emails where a link was clicked |
Replied Emails | Emails that received a reply |
Soft Bounced Emails | Temporary delivery failures |
Hard Bounced Emails | Permanent delivery failures |
Failed Emails | Emails that failed to send |
Unsubscribed Emails | Recipients who unsubscribed |
Unsubscribed Emails Daily | Daily unsubscribe trend |
Emails By Domain | Email results grouped by recipient domain |
Most email widgets initially display a single number, but you can switch them to donut, bar, line, horizontal bar, or table views. Emails By Domain and Unsubscribed Emails Daily have Group By enabled by default.
Where email widgets appear
Email widgets can be added to any JourneyCARE dashboard you open or create. They are also available in Custom Reports.
Add an email widget to a dashboard
You need Dashboards & Reports access to view or edit dashboards. Add an email widget from the dashboard's edit mode.
Go to Dashboards.
Open or create a dashboard (see Create a custom dashboard).
Select Edit Dashboard.
Select + Add Widget.
Scroll to Emails.
Select an email widget.
Configure it using Configure, Conditions, and Themes.
Select Save Changes.
Configure, filter, and theme a widget
Each email widget opens with three tabs: Configure, Conditions, and Themes.
Configure
On the Configure tab, the Metric is Count of Emails. Group options include Source, Status, Sent By, Domain, and conditionally Workflow, Campaign, Template, Email Marketing Campaign, and Bulk Action.
The five conditional Group options are initially greyed out. To activate them, open Conditions, add a Source filter, select a source value, and make sure every condition branch uses the same Source value — then return to Configure.
Conditions
On the Conditions tab, filter the widget's data with these conditions:
Source — values: Workflow, Email Marketing Campaign, Campaign, Bulk Action, Template, Other
Status — values: Accepted, Delivered, Opened, Clicked, Replied, Soft Bounced, Hard Bounced, Failed, Unsubscribed
Sent By — any team member
Domain — recipient email domain
Dependent fields — Workflow (when Source = Workflow), Campaign (when Source = Campaign), Email Marketing Campaign (when Source = Email Marketing Campaign), Template (when Source = Template), Bulk Action (when Source = Bulk Action)
Use + AND to narrow results within a group; OR creates a separate condition group.
Themes
On the Themes tab, select a theme preset or customize the widget's colors.
Why an email widget shows no data
An email widget can show no data when the date range is empty, the filters are too narrow, or there has been no email activity in the period.
