Video Testimonial Received workflow trigger
The Video Testimonial Received trigger starts a workflow the moment a new video testimonial is submitted through a Video Testimonial Collector. Use it to notify your team, send a thank-you or follow-up message to the reviewer, create tasks or notes, pass the testimonial into a webhook, or build separate automation paths for different collectors and consent levels.
Add the Video Testimonial Received trigger
Add the trigger from the workflow builder, then use filters to control which submissions start the workflow.
Open Automations > Workflows and open the workflow.
Click Add New Trigger and search the trigger picker for Video Testimonial Received. It is catalogued with the other triggers in Workflow triggers, and for how triggers and actions fit together see the Workflows Overview.
To limit which submissions start the workflow, click add filter and choose Marketing Consent or Video Collector.
Filters
Filters narrow which submissions the trigger responds to.
Filter | What it does |

Marketing Consent | Runs the workflow based on whether the reviewer granted marketing consent. |
Video Collector | Runs the workflow only for testimonials submitted through a specific collector. |
Use the filters to build separate automations for different campaigns, products, events, partners, or testimonial use cases. For example, to send a thank-you email only to reviewers who granted marketing consent, add the Marketing Consent filter.
Video Testimonial custom values
The testimonial's data is available as custom values in supported workflow actions, such as internal notifications, notes, emails, SMS, and webhooks.
