Yes. The trigger fires when the coupon is applied, whether or not the customer completes the order.
Coupon Code Applied workflow trigger
The Coupon Code Applied trigger starts a workflow the moment a coupon code is applied at checkout, whether or not the customer completes the order. Use it for abandoned-cart follow-ups, personalized upsells, team alerts, and tagging contacts who use a specific code.
Add the trigger to a workflow
Add the trigger from the workflow builder, then name it and choose filters before adding actions.
Open Automations > Workflows and open the workflow.
Click Add New Trigger and search the trigger picker for Coupon Code Applied. It is listed under Payment triggers in the Workflow triggers catalog.
Enter a name in Workflow Trigger Name.
Click + Add Filters to narrow which coupon applications start the workflow, then choose the filters and their values.
Click Save Trigger.
Add workflow actions. See Workflow actions for the available actions.
Click Test Workflow to test it, then Publish to activate it.

Recommended actions
Common actions for coupon workflows include Send Email, Assign to User, Add Tag, Internal Notification, and Create/Update Opportunity. For the full action list, see Workflow actions.
The trigger fires when the coupon is applied even if the customer never completes the order, so follow-up actions also run on abandoned checkouts.
