Contact activity, imports, data quality and integrations
Individual contact activity
The Activity section of a contact record shows a known contact's website visits, form submissions, and other tracked activity in one chronological timeline. Open the contact's record and click the clock icon in the right column to reach the Activity section; form submissions recorded there can be opened to review exactly what the contact submitted. See Viewing Member Activity for the walkthrough.
Matching existing contacts or creating new ones
Form submissions match on email: an existing contact is updated. A new contact is created only when nothing matches. See how form submissions update contacts.
CSV imports can create or update companies using a CSV column named exactly Business Name. See how imports create or update companies.
Email-domain association matches exact domains only, respects associations that already exist, and excludes common free-email providers such as personal addresses. See how contacts are associated with companies by email domain.
Data quality controls
Automated duplicate search works on Email, Phone and Name. Up to 10 contacts can be merged at once, a merge is irreversible, and notes, conversations, tasks, opportunities and tags combine into the master contact. See how to find and merge duplicate contacts.
Email-domain association uses exact matching, respects associations that already exist, excludes common free-email providers, and prevents duplicate companies from being created for the same domain.
Ongoing integration administration
Imports are named during the import flow, so staff can identify and review each import later. The CSV limit is 50 MB per file.
Private integrations and Zapier connections are configured in the Integrations area. See private integrations and Connect Zapier.
