Edit an Opportunity
Editing an opportunity in JourneyCARE keeps its contact details, value, pipeline stage, and status current as a deal moves toward closure. Start in the Opportunities section, open the opportunity, and update fields and activities from its details page. Understanding Opportunities covers what each field tracks if you need background before you edit.
Open the opportunity you want to edit
Open Opportunities from the sidebar, then find and open the specific record.
Log in to your JourneyCARE account.
In the sidebar menu, click Opportunities.
Use search filters or browse the list of opportunities to find the one you need to update.
Click the name or title of the opportunity to open its details page.
If you're working with a long list, Filter Opportunities covers how to narrow it; if you don't have an opportunity yet, Create an Opportunity walks through adding one.
Update opportunity details
On the details page, update any field that tracks this opportunity. Change the contact's name, contact information, opportunity value, or opportunity source as the deal evolves.
You can also modify the pipeline stage, owner, tags, or any custom fields associated with the opportunity.
Book or update an appointment
Manage an appointment without leaving the opportunity. You can book or update it directly from the Edit Opportunity modal.
Open Opportunities and select the opportunity.
Open Book/Update Appointment.
If no appointment exists, click + New Appointment, then choose Meetings, Services, or Rentals.
If an appointment already exists, click the three dots to Edit, View, or Delete it. Edit opens the appointment with pre-filled details for faster updates.
Each opportunity currently supports one appointment.
Add notes
Notes added to an opportunity also appear on the linked contact's record.
Click Notes in the left sidebar of the opportunity.
Add a new note or any additional information about the opportunity.
All notes added here also reflect in the corresponding contact's notes.
Set tasks and reminders
Tasks and reminders set on an opportunity also appear on the linked contact's record.
Open Tasks from the sidebar.
Assign a task to yourself or a team member, and specify the due date and priority level.
You can add appointments the same way. Tasks and appointments added here also reflect on the contact's end.
Change the pipeline stage
Move the opportunity to the pipeline stage that reflects its current status in the sales process. Advance it through different stages as it progresses toward closure, updating its status accordingly.
Update the opportunity status
Drag the opportunity to Open, Won, Lost, or Abandoned to reflect its outcome.
Drag and drop the opportunity to a status shown at the bottom to update its status.
If you mark it Lost, add a lost reason for the opportunity.
The possible statuses are Open, Won, Lost, and Abandoned. The default status for a new opportunity is Open.
