Schedule recurring social posts
Use recurring posts in Social Planner to publish the same content daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, then manage the series from its parent post or individual scheduled posts.
Create a recurring post
Start the recurring-post setup from Marketing > Social Planner; you can configure the schedule before connecting a social account.
Open Marketing > Social Planner.
Choose New post, then choose Create New post.
Select the social account or accounts for the recurring post.
Configure the recurring schedule using the recurrence reference below.
Choose Schedule.
If no social account is connected, Social Planner prompts you to connect one before you can save or schedule the recurring post. For account-connection steps, see Set up Social Planner and connect social accounts.
Choose a recurrence
Select the recurrence that matches how often the post should repeat, then provide the date, time, and range requested for that choice.
Recurrence | Configure |
|---|---|
Day | Choose the date and time for the post to repeat every day. |
Week | Choose the weekday, date range, and posting time. |
Month | Choose the date and time for the post to repeat monthly. |
Year | Choose the date and time for the post to repeat yearly. |
Use different content for different platforms
Choose Customize Each Post when the recurring content should differ across social platforms.
This lets you create different recurring posts for the selected platforms instead of using one identical post for every account.
Manage the parent and child posts
After scheduling, Social Planner adds the parent post to Content > Recurring Posts, while the individual scheduled occurrences act as child posts.
Editing the parent changes the time or date range for the series.
Editing an individual child changes that post without changing the parent.
Manage recurring posts by view
Use the view that matches the change you need: Content manages the series, while Calendar and List manage individual scheduled occurrences.
Content view
Use Content to manage the parent recurring post and the full iteration.
The parent post is visible and can be edited.
Editing updates all entries in the iteration with the selected date and time range.
Deleting removes all parent entries of the recurring posts.
Calendar view
Use Calendar to see the individual recurring posts on their scheduled dates.
All individual posts are visible and can be edited.
Editing updates all entries in the iteration with the selected date and time range.
Deleting removes the individual recurring post.
List view
Use List to manage the next active scheduled post.
The next active scheduled post is visible.
Editing updates all entries in the iteration with the selected date and time range.
Deleting removes the individual recurring post.
Recurring series cannot be paused or temporarily stopped. Review active recurring posts before a time-sensitive campaign or other change in messaging.
