Add audio to a course lesson
Add an audio lesson inside a course by choosing audio as the lesson content and uploading an MP3, AAC, or WAV file. Audio works alone as a lesson or combined with text content in the same lesson. Publish the lesson after uploading so learners can play it.
Add audio to a lesson
Go to Portal and Groups > Courses > Products and open the course.
Open the lesson you want to add audio to, or create a new lesson in the course editor.
Choose audio as the option to add to the lesson.
Upload the audio file.
Audio can be used alone as a lesson or combined with text content in the same lesson.
Import audio from media storage
Reuse an audio file you have already uploaded by importing it from media storage instead of uploading it again.
Go to Portal and Groups > Courses > Products and open the course.
Create a new lesson or edit an existing lesson.
Click Import from Media Storage.
Click Click to select from media storage.
Select the audio file and click Insert Media.
Only audio and video files can be imported this way. The option is available to users whose access includes Medias and Memberships/Courses.
Supported formats and devices
Supported audio formats: MP3, AAC, and WAV.
Uploaded audio is optimized for desktops, tablets, and mobile phones.
Publish the lesson
Learners only see published content. Publish the lesson after uploading the audio to make it available to students.
What learners experience
Learners can adjust the playback speed.
Audio lesson thumbnails are taken automatically from the lesson thumbnails.
