Resend a corrected email
Resend a corrected email when a message you already sent contained an error. The right process depends on how the original was sent: as an email blast from Email Marketing, as a workflow email to contacts who are no longer in the workflow, or as a workflow email to contacts still waiting in a step.
If the campaign has not delivered yet, edit it before it sends instead. See Change an email that's already scheduled.
Resend an email blast from Email Marketing
When the original went out as an email campaign, clone the sent campaign, correct it, and send it again the same way you sent the first one.
Go to Marketing → Emails → Email Campaigns.
Open the sent campaign and clone it.
Make your correction in the email builder.
Send the corrected campaign as you normally would.
For the full send and scheduling steps, see Send or schedule an email campaign.
Resend a workflow email when contacts left the workflow
When the email was sent by a workflow and the contacts are no longer in the workflow, create a campaign from the saved email template and send the correction as a normal blast.
Go to Marketing → Emails → Templates.
Find the email and open its three-dot menu.
Choose Create Campaign.
Make your correction in the email builder.
Send the campaign like any normal email blast.
Resend a workflow email to contacts still waiting in a step
When the contacts are still sitting in a wait step, add a corrected email action directly below that wait step so they receive the fix without leaving the workflow.
Open the workflow in Automations → Workflows.
Add an email action directly below the wait step where the contacts are sitting.
Put your corrected content in that email action.
Copy the wait step the contacts are currently in and place the copy directly underneath the new email action.
Select everyone sitting in the wait step and advance them manually into the corrected email step.
They immediately get the corrected email and stop in the copied wait step, where they stay for the duration you indicated.
For how wait steps and email actions behave in a workflow, see Common workflow actions.
